Before the 2011 Jaguar XJ has arrived, previous generations were known to most of them sloppy, old world style. Segment, where buyers want to stand out, it is not surprising that the older XJ was almost never seen, let alone cross-shopping with someone looking for a full-size luxury sedan.

Jaguar has learned from its mistakes, so when designing the new XJ has decided to make them look completely renovated, modern interior and a number of more powerful engines.

Low-profile, roof gives it a distinctive XJ sports saloon design makes the car look much smaller than it actually is. There is also a hint of Aston Martin Rapide his lines, even if the length of the XJ and numerous data are unique enough to set the car apart at a glance.

But it is not just aesthetic. Auto is available in six different finishes lines, all with V-8 engine. The base engine is a generous 385 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque, which would be more than enough for most buyers in this segment.

However, it is not enough, Jaguar XJ also offers a supercharged engine, which comes with 470 horsepower and 424 lb-ft of torque.

You might think that this would be enough, but there is still another level of power is available. Range topper is XJ Supersport, which receives the same high performance 5.0-liter supercharged V-8 found in the Jaguar XKR and XFR models. This bad boy offers 510 horsepower and 461 pound-feet of torque, which would be more than anyone could ever want in a full-size luxury sedan.

The car is also in standard wheelbase or long term, which goes by the name of XJL. However, there is no option of four wheel drive, which means that buyers in northern climates would be safer to go with a Mercedes-Benz 4Matic or BMW 7 Series xDrive. There is a switchable "winter" mode for the car, though.

Jaguar also only get a six-speed paddle shift automatic transmission, while some of its rivals, like the last BMW 7 Series and Audi A8, the eight-speed automatic. However, when it comes to tumult, the Jaguar XJ Super Sport from 0 to 60 km / h in just 4.7 seconds.

A Jaguar ACE up its sleeve is its aluminum construction. This makes it much easier than its competitors, most of which are made of steel for easy handling and fuel economy.
